SchemaStudio lets you open several projects at once and switch between them without losing your place in any of them. Each project has its own canvas, records, and changelog, and each is saved independently.
Use File → Open Project… to open additional projects. Each project appears as a separate entry in the project taskbar — the row of project tabs that runs along the top of the application window, above the ribbon.
Click a project tab to make it the active project. The canvas, ribbon, and Properties panel all update to reflect the selected project.
The project taskbar displays the name of each open project. A dot indicator on a tab means that project has unsaved changes. Each tab also has a × button to close that project directly from the taskbar.
Each project's state is preserved independently when you switch tabs. You can be in the middle of editing a record in one project, switch to another project, make changes there, and switch back — the first project's form is exactly where you left it.
Copy and paste between projects is supported. Select one or more fields in Design Mode and press Ctrl+C / Cmd+C. Switch to another project and press Ctrl+V / Cmd+V to paste the fields into that project's current structure.
Close a project by clicking the × on its tab, or by going to File → Close Project. If the project has unsaved changes, SchemaStudio prompts you to save before closing.
Closing all projects does not exit SchemaStudio. The startup dialog reappears so you can open or create another project.
The startup dialog lists your most recently opened project files. Click any entry to reopen it. If the file has been moved or deleted, SchemaStudio shows an error and removes the entry from the list.
