Installation & Activation

SchemaStudio is a self-contained desktop application — no runtime or framework installation required. Download the build for your platform, run the installer, and you're ready to go.

Download

Download the latest version from the SchemaStudio page. After purchasing, your license key will be emailed to you within one business day.

Windows

  1. Run SchemaStudio_Setup.exe.
  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to choose an install location.
  3. Launch SchemaStudio from the Start menu or your desktop shortcut.

The installer also registers a .ssproj file association — double-clicking any .ssproj project file will open it directly in SchemaStudio.

Windows SmartScreen: On first launch Windows may show a SmartScreen warning. Click More info then Run anyway. This occurs because the application is new — it is not a security risk.

macOS

  1. Open the downloaded .dmg file.
  2. Drag SchemaStudio.app into your Applications folder.
  3. Launch SchemaStudio from Applications or Spotlight.
macOS Gatekeeper: On first launch, right-click the app and choose Open rather than double-clicking. Confirm when macOS asks for permission. After the first open, you can double-click normally.

Trial period

SchemaStudio includes a 30-day free trial with full functionality. No account or payment information is required to start the trial — just download and run.

The number of days remaining is shown each time you launch during the trial period. When the trial expires, the application will prompt you to activate with a license key before you can continue working.

Purchasing a license

Licenses are per machine — each copy of SchemaStudio you activate needs its own key. To purchase, visit the purchase page, complete checkout via PayPal, and your license key will be emailed to the address you provide.

Before completing your purchase you will need your Machine ID — a unique identifier for the computer you are installing on. You can find it inside SchemaStudio:

  1. Open SchemaStudio on the machine you want to license.
  2. Go to Help → Enter License Key…
  3. Your Machine ID is shown in the dialog. Click Copy to copy it to your clipboard.
  4. Paste it into the Machine ID field on the purchase page.
Important: The license key generated during purchase is tied to the Machine ID you provide. If you enter a different Machine ID at checkout, the key will not activate on your machine. Double-check the ID before completing your purchase.

Activating your license

Once you receive your license key by email:

  1. Open SchemaStudio.
  2. Go to Help → Enter License Key…
  3. Paste the key into the License Key field.
  4. Click Activate. The activation dialog will confirm success.

After activation, SchemaStudio is fully licensed on that machine with no expiry date. Keep your license key somewhere safe — you will need it if you reinstall the application.

Checking your license status

At any time you can check your current license status by going to Help → About License…. This shows whether you are on a trial (with days remaining) or fully licensed, along with your Machine ID for reference.

Didn't receive your key?

License keys are issued manually and are typically delivered within one business day. If you have not received your key after that time, please check your spam folder first. If it is not there, email support@leubapps.com with:

  • The email address used during purchase
  • Your PayPal order or transaction number
  • Your Machine ID (found via Help → Enter License Key…)

Team and bulk licensing

If you need licenses for multiple seats, volume pricing is available. Email support@leubapps.com with the number of seats you need and we will send you a quote.
